UKGC
The United Kingdom Gambling Commission. Remote operators that serve customers in Great Britain need a Commission licence and must follow its rules on fairness, advertising and safer gambling.
GamStop
A free multi-operator self-exclusion scheme. After registration and cooling-off, UK-licensed online gambling sites should block you for the exclusion length you chose.
Live dealer / live casino
Real-time table games streamed from a studio with a human dealer. Outcomes come from physical cards or wheels, not a software RNG for that round.
RNG
Random Number Generator — software used to produce unpredictable outcomes in slots and other RNG games. Licensed operators must use tested systems.
RTP
Return to Player — a long-run theoretical percentage of stakes a game returns to players collectively. It is not a prediction for your next session.
Wagering requirement
How many times a bonus (and sometimes the deposit) must be staked before related winnings can be withdrawn, subject to the operator’s terms.
Game weighting
How much different games count toward wagering. Slots often contribute more than table games; always check the bonus rules.
